This practical session offers sound principles to acquire life long investment and financial literacy skills and discipline. Ex-investment banker and stockbroker Charles Chow will guide us through the foundations of financial markets, products, players and behaviour. Charles Chow is a BCom graduate of The University of Auckland and holds professional accounting qualifications from NZ CA and CPA Australia. He worked for many years in the international financial markets, including senior positions in corporate banking, investment banking and equity research at JPMorgan Chase and DBS Vickers Securities in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, and New York. Charles currently manages investment funds and is also an advisor to the New Zealand Asia Institute (NZAI), a research centre devoted to exploring knowledge that enhances New Zealand's understanding of and engagement with Asia. |
